Theresa Sutton, CPA, is the Owner and Managing Partner of Padgett Denver, providing trusted accounting, tax, and business advisory services to small and midsize businesses across the Denver metro area. With more than 20 years of corporate accounting and financial leadership experience, Theresa delivers strategic insight and practical solutions that help business owners improve profitability, manage risk, and plan for long-term success.

Theresa earned her degrees from the University of Wyoming and Regis University and built her career in the corporate sector, holding leadership roles with organizations such as Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield, WellPoint, and Managed Business Solutions. Her transition from corporate leadership to accounting firm ownership gives her a unique understanding of the financial, operational, and tax challenges faced by entrepreneurs and growing businesses.

As a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Theresa specializes in accounting, tax planning and tax consulting, and business advisory services. She works closely with clients to develop proactive strategies that reduce tax liability, improve cash flow, and support informed decision-making—allowing business owners to focus on growth with confidence.

Theresa is known for her relationship-driven approach and commitment to serving as a long-term strategic partner, not just a service provider. She proudly serves businesses in Denver, Aurora and surrounding areas.

Outside of work, Theresa enjoys spending time with family, especially in her role as “Nana.” She also enjoys reading historical fiction, watching many types of sports and loving on her loyal companion, Hogan, the family labrador retriever.
